“Dressage is the basis for solid training. Regardless of which discipline riders pursue dressage provides the attention to detail and precise movements that markedly improve outcomes for both horse and rider.” – Jennifer Winkler
Jennifer Winkler
Born in Hamburg, Germany, into a family that bred Trakehners, Jennifer inherited her place in the saddle. Her father, a professional 2-in-hand and 4-in-hand driver and her mother, who rode Prix St. George’s level dressage, encouraged and supported her love of riding and natural talent from a an early age.
Over time, Jennifer became an accomplished horsewoman in her own right, winning the German 1993 Provincial dressage championships, a bronze medal in the 1994 Provincial dressage championships and 8th in the 1994 German (National) championships. These accomplishments earned her a place as a leading rider on the rigorously competitive and esteemed German circuit.
Jennifer’s deep love for Canada took root on her family’s ranch in BC where she spent the summers, and in 1997, she immigrated to Canada to establish what quickly became a thriving training, coaching and horse import business.
